IGA Honors Red Oval Partners At Ceremony

The Independent Grocers Alliance (IGA) honored two Red Oval Partners at the IGA Awards of Excellence Ceremony during The NGA Show on Monday, March 11, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Presented by IGA VP Brand Development Michael La Kier, these partners demonstrated exceptional service and dedication to the IGA retailers over the last year.

IGA Red Oval Service Provider of the Year

John Abbene accepts the award on behalf of BRdata.

BRdata, a trusted software partner for retailers seeking a complete end-to-end solution from the wholesaler to the consumer, received the IGA Red Oval Service Provider of the Year Award.

"John Abbene brought IGA to speak at BRdata World, their annual conference focused on education and technology best practices for the grocery retail industry," La Kier said. 

"They offered IGA the use their t-log extractor to aggregate independent sales data for the collective benefit of independents everywhere. For that and many other reasons, our Red Oval Service Provider Partner of the Year Award goes to BRdata."

IGA Red Oval CPG Partner of the Year

Nestlé Purina PetCare won the IGA Red Oval CPG Partner of the Year award, but they were unable to attend the event. La Kier thanked them for their support of IGA initiatives over the past year.

"The team at Nestlé Purina PetCare were integral to the rollout of our pet category reinvention play book," La Kier said. "They annually sponsor the Pet Photo Competition and have run media gatefolds in our National Digital Ad. Kara Destro stepped up to be on our Red Oval Advisory Council, and we are truly grateful for their support over the last year."
