Reduction in assessment

As a reminder, reduction in assessment was only available for moderated units that were planned to be assessed in 2021/22. All units planned to be assessed this year (2022/23) must be completed as normal – you cannot request reduction in assessment for units students are taking in 2022/23 – see our subject update.

For students completing their qualification in 2022/23, we'll provide an opportunity for you to add any students who were missed in your original submission who used reduction in assessment last academic year (2021/22) – this will be between 20 March and 28 April.

We'll let you know more details about Cambridge Technicals in upcoming newsletters.

Arrangements for Cambridge Technicals students certificating in summer 2023

We can now confirm the arrangements for Checkpoint 1 and provide some guidance on getting ready for Checkpoint 2.

Checkpoint 1

3–28 April: schools and colleges confirm which students are expecting a qualification result this summer and check they have the correct qualification entry (registration)

Checkpoint 2

15–23 June: schools and colleges check the unit achievements for each student due to receive a qualification result and provide a declaration to confirm the details are correct.

For detailed information on what do you need to do and when for checkpoint 1, check out our Exams Officer communication.
