Cybersecurity and Boards

Governing the Ungovernable

Thursday, November 9, 2023
12pm ET

Cybersecurity is one of the most ominous issues facing organizations today. The impact of a cyberattack can be financial, reputational, and ultimately existential: No company can claim to be safe. We’ve seen that in 2023 with over 700 recorded breaches, including massive attacks at T-Mobile, Clorox, HCA Healthcare, MGM Resorts and Caesar’s.

  • What is the role of the board in governing cybersecurity in this ever-increasing, dynamic threat environment?
  • How should they think about safeguarding all of a company’s assets?
  • Is there an appropriate strategy for cybersecurity risk mitigation – and crisis management if prevention is futile?
  • And, what defines cyber expertise and how much of it does a board need?

We are honored to have Bethany Mayer, one of the foremost experts at the intersection of cybersecurity and board governance, join Boardspan CEO Abby Adlerman in conversation to explore these topics and more.

Bring all of your cybersecurity questions to what promises to be one of the most valuable conversations of the year.
